Mandalas!

The word "mandala" is a sanskrit word, loosely translated to mean "circle". A mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may be employed for focusing attention, as a spiritual teaching tool, and as an aid to meditation. In common use, the mandala has become a generic term for any plan, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe.  I love mandalas. I think they are beautiful...and so fun to draw!  I find it relaxing to doodle/sketch and create a mandala.  Here is a video showing one how to start a mandala...and you can find many others.  Kids love it, too.  :)

Enjoy!   Bodhi Yoga
