Last week, a couple friends and I went on a horse ride up near Hardware Ranch, at a place called Rock Creek. It was so fun! The trails are wide and smooth, and go for miles and miles in all directions. Perfect for cantering to your heart's content. This is definately a Fall or Spring ride, as it is very exposed, not a lot of shade. We rode all over the rolling hills, sometimes on trails, sometimes cross-country. Rio was an absolute angel. He was so good, and was the brave horse that led the way over the spooky culverts and streams. He was the only one that didn't spook at the ducks flying out of the brush, or at the flock of 300+ sheep passing by the parking lot. That's a big deal, considering he is the most shy and timid horse I've known. Wildman says its because Rio trusts me. :) I now have Rio sidepassing all over the place..his training is really coming along.

Looks like fun. Glad your little horse is doing so well. We don't have a horse. It's all about me.
