A soon as the roads were clear enough, we set off for Willow Lake. This was back around the end of April (the 25th). It had been winter-access only until then...snowmobiles etc. It turned out to be a beautiful drive, lots of vistas.
Willow Lake, the west end of it. You can see the little jut of land where the campground is located...
And looking east toward the other end of the lake. Woah.
This is one of the campsites, right on the beach!
Another view of the lake...
Very cool rocks on the beach. The whole place has cool rocks.
L, wishing the water were "a little warmer"
Heading back toward Pinedale, looking at Soda Lake in the distance...
Why "Paper" beats "Rock"
"Home, home on the range..."
The cool rocks, reminded me of the unique rocks on Antelope Island....
Looking to the west, the Wyoming Range. Many peaks over 12,000 ft.
Back into Pinedale...:)
Willow Lake, we decided, would be fun to have an over-nighter on the beach...but will probably have loads of bugs as it gets warmer...
