Here we are, having come through the storms of 2006...
Below are some things I remember from the year of 2006....Oakley and Landon playing with Jaydree
Aaron and I taking our seven year Anniversary Road Trip to St. Geroge. We hiked around the Gunlock Resevoir falls.
Roadtrip in the new Pilot with mom to Arches to “camp” with Bethany’s family and friends. Playing house in the desert.
Hiking the Fiery Furnace. WOW! The kids hiked too, I did not carry them. Quite possibly my favorite hike EVER.

Watching Aaron play on Second Nature’s Softball Team in RED DIRT
Watching Wayfarer come crashing down on top of me.
The crunchy-gooshy feeling of broken bones and compound fractures
Calling 911
Heather kissing my forehead in the ER
Dad’s Blessing that I would heal quickly
Riding in an Air-Med Chopper
Morphine, x-rays, surgery…
Waking up to Aaron’s face and being cradled by him while I sob
Nurses, surgeons, blood draws, IV’s, traction, screaming, surgery…
Blood transfusions, visitors, family, more blood draws, physical therapists, a week-old bowel movement, more visitors, Taunya washing my hair, posters of my kids…Four people lifting me to a chair and then to the bathroom…screaming…
Listening to Bethany’s ipod

Feeling SO loved and cared for…
Hospital Food, not bad…
Leaving the U of U and being transferred on a gurney to the Wasatch Care Center
More nurses, doctors, Todd, Toby and Tami, the physical therapists…little old people…rolling around in a wheelchair, taking my first “shower”, Seeing my kids for the first time in 12 days…
Crying
Crying more
Being on oxycontin and percocet...knowing what it feels like to be "high"
Wayfarer visiting me at the Care Center. Crying. Laughing. Crying. Laughing.
Going Home
Aaron working for Second Nature as a Recruiter
Being carried up and down the stairs by almost every man in the family…
Dad being thrown from Biscuit and breaking his ribs and getting pneumonia
Only one person helping me to the bathroom, then doing the bathroom thing all by myself!
Getting 64 staples removed
Showing my x-rays to people
Staying at Justin and Taunya’s home while Aaron went to St. George for business, and bathing in their BIG tub…
Watching the family sword fight with pool noodles and duct tape
Roasting s’mores in the fire bowl
Bethany coming out to help
Going to Dinosaur Park in a Wheelchair
Watching Heather, Rob, and Aaron play sand volleyball at Cherry Days
Grandpa passing away
Working Wayfarer in the round pen with a rotating chair…
Using a walker
Walking with a cane
River’s Birth (August 1st…my guess)
Physical dependency and withdrawal from pain-meds
Moving to Cache Valley
Oakley starting school
Walking!!!
Going on a solo road trip, camping at Capitol Reef, hiking Hickman Bridge and Cassidy Arch.
Feeling free
Hiking the Wind Caves
Riding Shrek for the first time after the accident

Sometimes our experiences are our own to learn from and cherish and sometimes those experiences are for others to learn from and cherish also. Thanks for sharing. Love,
Bethany
Beautiful; emotive; funny; poignant. Love you, too.
Oh yeah: Nice photo. ;-)
