Near the end of the school year (June 4th) the kids held their spring concert at the high school. Both O and L accompanied their choirs on the piano, and O sang in a quartet. I was so proud of them, and the efforts they put in to supporting their choirs--their itty bitty choirs.

The day after school got out for the summer, L headed off to Gillette, WY for an all-state middle school honor choir festival. He was one of 6 students selected from his school (from all 3 grades) to attend and be in the choir which was directed by a children's choir director they brought in from Texas. L ended up singing soprano, though he can sing any part (except bass). I honestly wasn't expecting much, but we drove across the entire state of Wyoming to be there for him and support him. The concert was actually amazing! That choir director was able to get those Wyoming kids (about 150 of them) to sound wonderful! It was such a great opportunity for L to be in a great choir and learn from such a talented director.
